The Artis Domus Restaurant Bar located in Sorrento, Italy, is not your typical restaurant. It’s actually a garden oasis filled with bright lemon trees, quirky lawn furniture and cute animals.
“We have ten bunnies, two dogs, one peacock, one pig and a few cats,” said Tony Apreda, manager of the Artis Domus Restaurant Bar.
This area is the perfect destination for groups and families looking for a delicious bite to eat and a quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. If you want to avoid the many tourists that fill Sorrento's streets, this shady, cool garden is the ideal relaxation spot. You might even find yourself taking a selfie with the animals.
“[The pig] is more popular than me,” Apreda said.

When you arrive at the restaurant, you will be seated at a glass table on the bright green lawn surrounded by trees and shrubbery. The area is decorated with torches and decorative lights. If you come at night, the site is truly breathtaking.
Don’t be alarmed if a bunny or cat walks near your table, they are friendly and keep to themselves. A quick tip before petting the bunny is to grab some grass. You need to gain their trust before petting it so if you have its favorite food in your hand, then you’re set.
The restaurant is lively from the time it opens at 9:00 a.m. until closing at 11:30 p.m. Although you might find the pig sleeping near the bushes and the peacock snuggled in its outdoor cage, the bunnies are still hopping around the lawn during the night time.
